VergeSense

VergeSense is the industry leader in providing enterprises with a true understanding of their occupancy and how their offices are actually being used.

Implementing the VergeSense Occupancy Intelligence Platform requires seamless integration into your existing workplace infrastructure. A crucial step in this process is choosing the right installation option for your organization to ensure a smooth and efficient deployment. With four distinct installation options available, understanding the benefits and challenges of each is crucial to determine the best fit for your organization.

Here, we will explore each of the VergeSense installation options, discussing their unique advantages and potential drawbacks, and provide guidance on how to make an informed decision based on your organization's needs and resources.

White Glove Service

The VergeSense White Glove Service is perfect for customers who don't have local support or prefer a complete end-to-end solution. This option includes full physical installation of devices, gateways, and/or cabling by a certified VergeSense-contracted installation vendor. VergeSense also provides remote project management services and commissioning.

Benefits
- Complete, hassle-free installation by experienced professionals
- Remote project management and commissioning are completed and guaranteed to be accurate by VergeSense experts
- Ideal for organizations without local support or those seeking maximum convenience

Challenges
- This option can be higher cost than the others

Guided Install

The VergeSense Guided Install is designed for customers who need hands-on training and guidance but plan to complete the installation themselves or through a third-party vendor hired by the organization. This option includes remote install training, project management, and commissioning provided by VergeSense. On-site implementation support from a VergeSense installation expert or a VergeSense-trusted vendor can be added on a case-by-case basis for an additional cost to answer questions and help with the installer tool.

Benefits
- Hands-on training and guidance from VergeSense experts
- Opportunity to work with your preferred third-party installation vendor
- Mid-level cost option

Challenges
- Requires more involvement and coordination from the customer

Customer-Preferred Vendor Install

The Customer-Preferred Vendor Install is suitable for customers who already have a trusted vendor experienced in installing physical devices like light sensors, access points, and room tablets. This option includes VergeSense remote install training, project management, and commissioning for the customer-preferred vendor. This package does not include VergeSense on-site implementation support.

With this option, unlike the Guided Install option, the customer’s preferred vendor is responsible for the installation in its entirety, which is a complex process. This process includes, but is not limited to the physical installation, tracking the installation in the VergeSense platform, performing timely punch list adjustments, testing validation, etc.

Benefits
- Leverage your existing vendor relationships and expertise
- Remote training and guidance from VergeSense experts
- Mid-level cost option

Challenges
- Relies on the quality and expertise of your preferred vendor

Customer Self-Install

The Customer Self-Install option is ideal for customers who have completed VergeSense installations in the past and have on-site support. This option includes remote project management, commissioning, and a 1-hour installation training session, but does not include physical installation support, cabling, or installation coordination services.

With this option, like the Preferred Vendor option, the customer is responsible for the installation in its entirety, including the physical installation, tracking the installation in the VergeSense platform, performing timely punch list adjustments, testing validation, etc.

Benefits
- Lowest cost option
- Suitable for organizations with experience in self-installation and on-site support

Challenges
- Requires a high level of involvement and expertise from the customer

Which Install Option is Right for Me?

Choosing the right VergeSense installation option depends on your organization's needs, budget, and internal resources. If convenience and a hands-off approach are priorities, the White Glove Service may be the best fit; however, this option also requires a more established budget for such. For customers with preferred vendors or experience in self-installation, the Customer-Preferred Vendor Install or Customer Self-Install options provide more flexibility and cost savings.

To determine the most suitable installation option for your organization, consider factors such as your budget, internal expertise, and preferred level of involvement. With the right installation choice, your organization can quickly and effectively harness the power of VergeSense to optimize your workplace and real estate portfolio.
